the "gee whizery ep" is three songs that don't belong together but ARE together!

"preparatory" was recorded pseudo-live at a BBQ held at a recording studio. all electric instruments were recorded direct and then reamped all at the same time while i played the drums and my friends stomped and clapped and hit percussive things together. this was recorded to 8 tracks, then vocals were overdubbed. it came out pretty good!

the title track was later reworked, rearranged, and rerecorded for "OH GOD OH SHIT" but i kinda like this version better because i secretly love ridiculously bad hardcore records.

"the shit that you hate" is a bomb the music industry! song that i didn't like at all when I first heard it. now I really super duper love it a lot. jeff rosenstock wrote that one.
